Overview
12-hour Iron Gate Gorge tour — Europe's oldest site Lepenski Vir + medieval Golubac fortress + 1.5h Danube cruise
Highlights
Iron Gate Gorge: Europe's deepest river gorge — 800 m cliffs plunging straight into the Danube. Serbia's most visually arresting natural landscape.
Lepenski Vir prehistoric site (6000 BCE): Mesolithic culture site (c. 6500–5500 BCE) within Đerdap National Park — one of the earliest known settlements in Europe, with the famous fish-shaped sandstone sculptures.
Golubac medieval fortress (14th c.): Ottoman-Serbian frontier castle commanding the Danube — one of the most photogenic stops on the river.
Serbian river-side lunch: Catch-of-the-day catfish or carp at a riverside fishery in Donji Milanovac — the most authentic riverside Serbian meal.
