Route overview
Eight days, seven nights covering the three storylines of the Greater Bay Area: technology, manufacturing and Lingnan culture. The itinerary is delivered jointly by BALKAN CHINA and partner organizations on the ground in China. We coordinate visits to the showrooms, production lines or experience centres of Baidu Apollo, the BYD History Museum, BGI Genomics, DJI, the Robotics 6S flagship store, Lenovo Southern Smart Manufacturing Base, GAC Trumpchi, FAW-Volkswagen and Kingsoft, and add Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, Yongqingfang, the Pearl River night cruise and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge sea tour. Specific visits are subject to confirmation; the route is fine-tunable to your industry focus.
This is the "fully loaded" upgrade to the 7-day version. The extra day adds the automotive-industry pillar (FAW-Volkswagen) and a Lingnan culture half-day (Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, Yongqingfang, Pearl River night cruise), turning the Greater Bay Area from "tech only" into "tech + manufacturing + city".

Compared with the 7-day version, this trip adds depth on FAW-Volkswagen's shop floors — how 30+ years of Sino-German joint-venture management plays out in practice — and pairs that with GAC Trumpchi to give a complete "domestic + joint-venture" picture of Greater Bay Area carmaking.
Half a day on Lingnan culture. Chen Clan Ancestral Hall (the "pearl of Lingnan architecture", famous for its three carvings, two sculptural forms, ironwork and painting), Yongqingfang (a century-old qilou arcade district renewed through micro-renovation) and the Pearl River night cruise (passing Canton Tower, Haixinsha and Liede Bridge) — factories by day, the city by night.
Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge sea tour. Board a luxury cruiser from Zhuhai's Jiuzhou Port for a 100-minute round trip that crosses the bridge's main span twice — the most direct way to feel the "one-hour economic circle" of the Greater Bay Area.

D1 · Arrive Shenzhen. Pickup at Bao'an Airport; afternoon at Shenzhen Bay Entrepreneurship Plaza and Talent Park; check in to a 4-star hotel in Shenzhen.
D2 · Baidu + low-altitude economy. Morning at Baidu (campus visit, briefing, Apollo Go robotaxi ride); afternoon at the Low-Altitude Economy Pavilion (drone-operation demo and aviation-simulator experience).
D3 · BYD + BGI + Huaqiangbei. Morning at the BYD History Museum in Longgang, Shenzhen (2,000+ exhibits); afternoon at BGI Genomics (showroom + expert briefing) and the Huaqiangbei electronics market.
D4 · DJI + Robotics 6S store. Morning at DJI (showroom + RoboMaster + drone demos); afternoon at the Robotics 6S store (humanoid-robot show, brain-control demo, human-vs-machine challenges).
D5 · Lenovo + GAC Trumpchi. Morning at the Lenovo Southern Smart Manufacturing Base (smart-manufacturing showroom + desktop assembly line, capacity 16 million units / year); afternoon at GAC Trumpchi (showroom + final-assembly shop).
D6 · FAW-Volkswagen + Lingnan culture → Zhuhai. Morning at the FAW-Volkswagen Southern Base (three-star Green Industrial Building certification; stamping / welding / painting / assembly smart-production lines); afternoon at Chen Clan Ancestral Hall (Qing-dynasty clan architecture, "pearl of Lingnan architecture") + Yongqingfang (renewed century-old qilou arcades on Enning Road) + Pearl River night cruise (Canton Tower, Haixinsha, Liede Bridge); evening transfer to Zhuhai, check in to a 4-star hotel.
D7 · Kingsoft + Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge sea tour. Morning at Kingsoft (welcome session, AI / VR interactive demos, expert Q&A); afternoon on the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge sea tour (board a luxury cruiser at Zhuhai's Jiuzhou Port; 100 minutes across the bridge's main span).
D8 · Departure. Transfer to Zhuhai or Shenzhen airport; end of the 8-day Greater Bay Area visit.

BYD History Museum. Built in BYD's former Tongle factory in Longgang, Shenzhen, marking BYD's 30th anniversary. 2,000+ exhibits covering Blade Battery, the e-platform, automotive-grade chips and other core technologies.
BGI Genomics. Founded 1999, a global leader in life sciences and a participant in the Human Genome Project. Visit includes showroom and expert briefing.
DJI. The world's leading developer and manufacturer of drone flight platforms and imaging systems; named to Forbes China's "Top 50 Most Innovative Companies" in 2022. Visit includes showroom plus immersive RoboMaster and drone-flying experiences.
Robotics 6S store. The world's first robotics-centred 6S flagship store, integrating display, sales, service, training, R&D and customization.
Lenovo Southern Smart Manufacturing Base. Lenovo's global smart-manufacturing mother plant, with capacity of 16 million units / year and 50 billion RMB of output. Visit includes the smart-manufacturing showroom and the desktop assembly line.
GAC Trumpchi. Listed on both A and H shares as part of GAC Group, a Fortune Global 500 company; brands include GAC Honda, GAC Toyota, Trumpchi and Aion. Visit includes showroom and final-assembly shop.
FAW-Volkswagen Southern Base. Established in 1991 as a joint venture of FAW, Volkswagen Germany, Audi and Volkswagen China — the first Chinese passenger-car producer purpose-built at modern economic scale. Three-star Green Industrial Building certification; recognized as a "China Top Employer" for 15 consecutive years. Visit includes the showroom and the stamping, welding, painting and assembly shops.
Kingsoft. Founded 1988, one of China's earliest internet-software companies, with 16,000+ employees. Industry leaders such as Lei Jun and Qiu Bojun started their careers here. Visit includes AI / VR interactive demos and expert Q&A.
Chen Clan Ancestral Hall / Yongqingfang / Pearl River night cruise. Half a day in central Guangzhou: a Lingnan clan hall featuring three carvings, two sculptural forms, ironwork and painting; a century-old qilou arcade district given a sensitive micro-renovation; and the Pearl River at night with Canton Tower and Haixinsha in view.
Shenzhen Bay Entrepreneurship Plaza / Talent Park / Huaqiangbei. Three city-scale snapshots covering startup incubation, talent attraction and the electronics supply chain.
Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge sea tour. A 55-km sea-crossing complex billed as one of the "modern Seven Wonders". From Zhuhai's Jiuzhou Port a luxury cruiser crosses the main span twice over 100 minutes.

Specific visits are subject to confirmation; depending on a host company's calendar, an equivalent alternative may be substituted on the day. If your time is limited, consider the 7-day version (without FAW-Volkswagen and the Guangzhou culture half-day).
